Snow Leopard

Welcome to Snow Leopard!

Welcome to Myddle Nursery, we provide care and education for young children based on the Government's

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This encompasses all learning and development from birth until the end of reception and we work in partnership with the primary school to ensure smooth transition and a consistency of education.

Children attending our Nursery are encouraged to develop the skills and confidence, knowledge and understanding required for formal schooling and later life. Our EYFS team has a wealth of expertise and understanding of children's developmental needs. Each child is allocated a key person, this link helps to form a bond with the child and their parents ensuring developments, milestones, concerns or worries are shared in a supporting environment.

Children are placed into key people groups for continuity of planning for activities which are based on each child's particular interests. Observations of the children's activities and learning are made regularly and we maintain a learning profile, which is accessible at any time to parents. We keep this up to date and will discuss at parents evenings or on request. We encourage families to take these home for the holidays and continue to add photographs and notes of their activities for continuity. Additionally we keep an individual child's "tracking file" that records children's progress through the EYFS stages and follows them into reception. We aim to ensure that the children's needs are met to the very best of our ability. We value family involvement and contributions to our planning and daily provision.

We have been lucky enough to secure some music sessions from the Shropshire Music Service. These sessions will start on Thursday the 28th of April and run for 5 weeks every Thursday morning! This is a great opportunity for the children to learn new skills!

Forest School...

Every Wednesday morning our children go out into the forest school area to enjoy lots of educational activities.

Toddlers..

We run a toddlers session every Friday morning in the Pre-School from 9.15 until 10.30. All welcome.

Free Flow...

On a Friday afternoon the children enjoy a Free Flow session which includes the children in Panda Class over at the school. This is a great opportunity for them to interact with the other children and get a feel for the school and get used to the surroundings to make the transition over to the school run a lot smoother.
